Spouse visa proof of shared accomodation/relationship

Hello,

I am in the process of doing an application form for Partnership visa, including my girlfriends son.

Does the consent that he gives have to acknowledge that we are applying for partnership visa? And also specifically the living address?

He has given consent that the child (6 years old) be with the mum for 3 years. But it is more general consent.

Yes spouse visa sorry. We have booked a civil partnership ceremony.

The concern is really with the father of their son, what needs to be mentioned in the letter of consent for it to be seen as valid by UKVI. He has given permission he can be with her for 3 years to "arrive and depart" anywhere. But he doesn't know about civil partnership, or spouse visa, or that they will be staying at my address.

Is it a 6 month fiance visa costing £1548 you are applying for?

UKVI will expect to see that your partner has sole responsibility with official documentation, as indicated in the link provided.

Yes that's the one. 6 month visa at that cost. Plus the extra for the child.

Well on the application itself it states it needs both parents/guardians consent to the application, living arrangements and address where the child will be staying.

It's quite specific. It's either that or sole responsibility of the child it seems.

I don't think the general consent for the child to be with the mother for 3 years will be adequate, as it doesn't state these details.

What would constitute good enough evidence outside of that?

I can imagine it's not uncommon for people to live together then decide later to sort partnership without any evidence of having lived together. What would be their options then?

If you are making spouse visa application, proof of shared accommodation is not required.
Helpful if you can state your immigration history and immigration history of your wife and is this application to be made in UK or from outside UK?

I'm British. My girlfriend is Kazakhstan. She has been over to Scotland twice on work visa, 6 months each time.

Application is being made by her, outside the UK for her and her son.

A followup question;

About child dependent on fiancé visa application. My girlfriend has to prove sole responsibility for her son. Someone wrote here about the case, when a woman got her child’s father to write a letter that states he has no involvement in the child’s life. If we get the same letter, is it enough to be just signed by father or it has to be verified by notary or something?

Also she got consent from him prior to visa application which included;

- to take a child permanently to UK;
- to be solely responsible for the child’s life, health
- represent the interests of the child on his behalf in schools, colleges, etc list of things

Is it appropriate to include that consent to the application?
