Imminent maternity leave financial requirement

Post by Saimac » Mon Apr 03, 2023 2:14 pm

Hello,

Hope you are all well.

I am due to start maternity leave on 5 June 23. We are hoping to submit ILR for my husband in the next week before Easter holidays are over on an expedited 5 day turn around.

I meet the financial requirement with my salary alone but was wondering shall I add anything about expecting our third child? Just thinking they may query will you meet it if your going on Maternity leave answer is yes as my job pays full salary for 6 months and then statutory minimum for another 13 weeks.

Also my husband started a self employed delivery driver job last sept and has just returned his self assessment only works part time but the requirement states combine income. Should I submit my salary only which meets min requirements or my husbands also? Just thinking they may query why have you only put yours down.

Thanks in advance really appreciate any advice you can offer on above.

Sam

1. No need to mention pregnancy and maternity.

2. You can use only your income. You need to meet the requirement in rhe date of application.

3. There is no 5 day priority for spouse visa holders. You only have the standard option or super priority if avialble.

Thanks

This service isn't available for every single application. From your link:
You can only pay for a faster decision on certain visas.
https://www.gov.uk/faster-decision-visa ... ide-the-uk
Spouse visas are only eligible for standard or super priority (800 pounds extra).

You need to read all the information and the link/tab of eligible visas. A spouse visa is not one of them that is eligible for 5 day priority service.

Correct. Only one of you can meet the requirement.

Post by Saimac » Mon Apr 03, 2023 4:00 pm

6 letters and/or other documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address to show that you have been living together during the past 2.5 years

I am ok to show council tax for last 3 years and other bills in my name solely then we have last 2.5 years water bill in both names but how many documents in total do we need to show please? Husband had phone bill payslips nhs letters

Topics merged. Please keep all questions on the same application In one topic.

You need 2 years evidence either in joint names or individually addressed, from 3 to 6 different sources, spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.

Is that 3-6 documents each or all together please?

Also as we are only submitted my work and bank statements to prove min financial requirement will it matter if we upload letters for my husband relating to bank and job for living at same address? E.g they won’t then start asking for all his prove documents?

Other reasons for living in the UK our daughters have SEN needs so we are going to attach letter from last august from their paediatrician and recent appointment letters from their speach and language therapy and hearing department is that ok?

Thanks in advance

Sorry I’ve also selected employment and cash savings is there any need if I meet requirement from work. I did this last time for the extension as I was on mat leave then but fully meet it now on income alone.

Thanks

It's up to you which one you choose if you meet requirements on multiple categories, however suggestion will be to always go for the one with the least paperwork or that may cause confusion.

Thanks for your help submitted the application now trying to find appointment and upload all docs.

As I understood free appointments are released at midnight? Is there any cheaper that £199? I don’t recall them being this expensive previously

Hi,

We have my husbands biometric appointment tomorrow and hve uploaded all the forms and submitted to online account.

One thing I’m unsure is about if in one month outgoings are more than payments coming in. Will this be a problem? We meet the financial requirement through employment just had one month we’re large bills came out like car insurance house insurance we also went on holiday so took cash.

They will be able to see I have savings.

Thanks

Your outgoings are not taken into account for making decision on application if you ain't using savings to meet financial requirements.
