Can a Skilled Worker who has started work in the UK move back to their home country for a period of 2 months and conduct their role remotely, without a deduction in salary or without being considered absent?

Presumably they will not be considered absent from their workplace, but again, a question for them, their employer and employment law.

They will be considered absent from the UK for the purpose of immigration law, because well, they are actually physically absent from the UK. Whether they are working abroad on that visa or not, they are not physically present in the UK and their passport will have the stamps for that (not to mention that the airline will have submitted Advanced Passenger Information for their flights out of and into the UK to the UK government).
