15 months period counts from the date you decide to submit your Tier 1 application and it s for the purpose of calculating your salary during any 12 consecutive months during the last 15 months. If during the said 15 month period you undertook a fulltime course the zone of consideration (for income purposes) excludes that period and you are allowed to include income from months prior to you started your fulltime course.

For example if you submit your application on 31st December and you attended a fulltime course between 4 Oct 2007 to 15 Nov 2008 you can show income for any 12 consecutive months between Dec 2008-16 nOV 2008 AND 13.5 months immediately before you commenced your full time study course.

Hope that helps.

Which deadline are you talking about? There is no deadline for applying under Tier-1. Can you clearly tell us what were the dates of your employment, education and then employment post education (with months & year).

You dont necessarily have to be employed for 15 months.

ok. i had worked from oct 2006 to sep 2006 ( the period i want to claim my earning for) and then came to UK on 4th october. My course started started in september 2007 and ended in september 2008 ( though i submitted my thesis on 15th september 2008 and the result announced and the masters was awarded on 15th november 2008).

The point is what is the deadline i can apply for tier 1 to claim my earnings from oct 2006 to sep 2007......?

what i had in my mind that it is 4th january ( 15 months from the day i came into this country). please guide me as i am all set for my application but waiting for my tax docs to be received till 17th december in UK.

i am getting depressed

You are still not consistent with the dates/timelines (Sep 2006 above). Did you came after your course had already started (see the lines highlighted above).

Assuming that the course started in Sept 2007 and you joined in October 2007 and the result was announced+degree was awarded in November 2008 you can utilize the earnings period from Oct 2006 to Sept 2007 latest by Nov 15th 2008 + 3 months i.e. Feb 2009.
