ILR after 5 years fixed term contract

Post by alialhoni » Sun Jun 11, 2023 6:26 pm

Hi

I am working in the UK (skilled working visa), I have a fixed term contract for 5 years and one month. Can I get ILR in this case (without contract extension) ?
Thanks

Most probably not.

As a part of the ILR application, the employer must certify that you will remain employed with them in the role "for the foreseeable future".

If the contract is coming to an end in a month's time after the date of application, it is very foreseeable that the above condition is not met.
