Super priority but no response

Post by sostresseddd » Fri Jun 30, 2023 6:55 pm

Hi all, I’ve gone through the many posts on this forum and I know super priority is not exactly reliable for timescales. I’ve read the threads moderators often signpost too. However, it’s been over 4 weeks since I submitted my application for indefinite leave under the long residence rules (set lr) using super priority service and there has been radio silence, I have not received a single email from ukvi since my application was submitted post biometrics. I have called the call centre and they asked to write a letter to Sheffield which I have done. :|

I guess I am just looking for advice or experiences of applicants in a similar situation? Is there anything I can do?

When did you submit the application, upload docs and complete biometrics?

I submitted on 5th June 2023, uploaded docs the same day and submitted my biometrics on 7th June. Got confirmation on 7th June that application has been submitted by UKVCAS to UKVI. Not a single email or response from UKVI.

I have called the call centre
These people on the phones are outsourced (not HO employees) and cannot really help you. Have you sent in an enquiry by post or how did you main in the letter?
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Sent it by post (recorded delivery) on the address given by the call centre. Can’t even find an email address unfortunately, there is such limited information.

Is your immigration history particularly complex? Have you got multiple different types, perhaps with appeals and JRs, etc?

If yes, a super-priority ILR application would have been a waste of money as the caseworker would have to check multiple sources and pieces of information to check whether you do in fact meet the requirement.
I am not a lawyer or immigration advisor. My statements/comments do not constitute legal advice. E&OE. Please do not PM me for advice.

Not at all, I’ve never had a refusal or appeal etc. I was on tier 4 and then switched to a spouse visa, in my opinion it should have been pretty straightforward. :| Regardless, even if they think there is something complex, they would usually email and advise?

Why have you registered a new user ? This is not allowed as per the forum's T&C.
Choose a username you want to keep as the other user must be deactivated!
Your other username: member/Mahakhanzada/

This query is becoming a regular nuisance on the forum and the generic response has to be repeated over and over again as we cannot help at all. Each application is separate and unique. Also, note that the experiences of others may not be relevant to your case. The circumstances of your case and your background are not known to any of us here. Your evaluation of your case is also not important or relevant as this is up to the UKVI. You do NOT get to determine if your application is complex or not. This is entirely up to the UKVI. So please wait to hear back.

Also, note that you may have to expect a longer waiting time than just a few weeks. As Simon pointed out, certain checks and verifications may take much longer than expected before a decision can be made :!:
