British Citizenship application-documents query

Post by Ht1 » Fri Jun 30, 2023 12:43 pm

hi,

the application asks, under the heading of 'proof of degree', "What will you use to prove your degree taught in English?"
it then gives only 2 options i.e. 'degree certificate' and 'Official transcript or letter'. and for whichever option i select, it says it must have:
your name
the name of the college or university
the qualification you were awarded
the date when the qualification was awarded

the degree certificate i have doesn't state that the degree was taught in english (but has everything else) and neither does the transcript. i do have a separate letter from the university that states the degree was taught in english but it doesn't have the exact date when the qualification was awarded (but has everything else).

which document should i use? is there an option to attach further documents later in the application where i can upload all the degree pertaining documents i have so they have everything? Home Office has already got those documents as part of my most recent ILR application.

HO may have it but that was for previous applications, it lies with you to provide what is required for the current application you are making.

Attach all the documents you have used previously in meeting up the English Language requirement

Or

Get an approved English Language Test at level B1 done, cost about £150.

thanks.

there is a part in the application where it asks about previous immigration applications. it asks "Was this application made in the UK?"
for my wife's first spouse visa application, she was outside of the UK but the solicitors we hired to make our application were based in the UK. what is the correct response to this query for this first application? do we answer from the perspective of where the applicant was physically present or where the application was submitted?

It was a visa application OUTSIDE the UK, ie. for ENTRY clearance!
