Spouse Visa and last visit

Post by Amaimaimran2011 » Wed Jul 05, 2023 12:13 am

Hi
I wanted to ask wether its necessary to visit my wife in Pakistan before applying for her spouse visa.
The last time we saw eachother was October 2018. it's been almost 5 years.
I have 3 children too in Pakistan they have British passport and it was proved via DNA so they know she is the mother of my children.

Is my case strong enough to apply without visiting?

It's been difficult to save up for visa/solicitors fees.
If I go to Pakistan it will put a dent in my savings.

Any words of advice much appreciated.

There is no requirement stated anywhere about visiting, however 5years is a long time. There is need to prove the relationship is subsisting and nothing beats evidence of physical/in-person visit or contact.
What reasons or complication do you think may warrant you using a solicitor? With you asking questions/getting guidance on this forum you can do this application yourself. Many have got successful outcome without involvement of solicitors.

Do you think that the fact my children are living with my wife will strengthen my case?
Yeah I guess I dont need a solicitor

Do you think that the fact my children are living with my wife will strengthen my case? Yes it is a positive, and you have got them British passport already.
Yeah I guess I dont need a solicitor
What are the means you have of proving subsisting relationships?

I send her money each month. I talk to her on WhatsApp every day. I have wedding photos.
