Spouse Visa Sponsor/ Applicant support. Who fills out the FORM ??

Post by Joseph22 » Sat Jul 08, 2023 2:07 am

Afternoon all,

Myself and my partner are getting married in October of this year 2023 in her home country out of the EU, in Morocco, then I shall be proceeding with the UK Spouse Visa Application, though the family visa application.

Question please.

Can i fill out the UK Spouse Visa application on her behalf? and submit all the evidence we have together, I'm not too sure who is responsible for doing this part, her or me? do i as a British citizen apply for my partner to come the UK as my spouse? Or does the application need to be in her name, though, i am allowed to do this online for her?

Whilst she has already passed her English test, respectfully, she is still limited to a degree.

Spouse Visa Sponsor/ Applicant support. Who fills out the FORM ??

Post by Joseph22 » Sat Jul 08, 2023 3:57 am

I am the UK sponsor, and I would like to apply for a spouse visa for my wife who currently resides in Morocco. We got married last year in Morocco. Can I apply for the visa on her behalf? I am confused about how an applicant, who may not be familiar with the specific requirements set by the UK government regarding relationship proof and sponsor finances, can successfully navigate the application process. Even though she has passed the English A1 test, her mother tongue is not English, making it challenging for her to fully understand what is needed for a UK Spouse Visa application. In light of this, should it not be the spouse residing in the UK who submits the application?

I think an applicant must submit the application. However, as it’s an online application, is there anything that prevents you from completing her application form for her?

Yes, the application can be done by uou online for her but will be in her name. Your partner will attend the biometrics appointment in their country of residence

Whilst she has already passed her English test, respectfully, she is still limited to a degree. At what level did she pass English test?

Submitting WhatsApp Chat Screenshots for UK Spouse Visa Application: Advice and Experiences Needed

Post by Joseph22 » Sat Jul 15, 2023 3:51 am

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are married. She is Moroccan, and I am a UK national of Moroccan descent. I am currently in the process of filling out my wife's spouse visa application so she can come to the UK. I have all the necessary documents to support our application, including our marriage certificate, financial evidence, accommodation evidence, entry in morocco records, our photos, statements of money transfer and purchases towards our weddings, written statements from ourselves family and friends, even video links of us vlogging in morocco and transcript whatsapp screenshots of all our calls and chats spanning our entire 3-year relationship.

My question is regarding the submission of screenshots from WhatsApp. What would be considered sufficient or substantial by the UK Home Office? How many screenshots did you guys submit, and what approach did you take? I would appreciate any guidance on what was deemed sufficient in your applications. Of course, providing the entire 3 years' worth of conversation is impossible, but they would likely require a timeline for each year. How should I document that? Would it be enough to submit 4 or 5 screenshots per month, including chat and call details? I'm looking for the right method of approach in terms of quantity and timing.

What did you guys do that worked for you? and was part of your successful application

If you could share your experiences and advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.

You have attached my last post regarding whatsapp chat screen shots to this thread. Why? you denying the right of traction for the question to be answered by attaching it to older addressed post. ?

Can you please allow for that thread to be separate as intended please. thank you

I suggest you familiarise yourself with the forum rules. All questions related to the same application must be posted in one topic. Everyone can see your new question and can answer if they wish to.

The moderators appreciate that members/users have an interest in obtaining information specific to their circumstances but kindly request you to refrain from multiple postings on a single question or topic (related grouping e.g. your naturalisation application, ILR application, etc.) within and/or across forums since this:

1. Creates confusion by cluttering relevant information across multiple sources thus defeating the key objective of the bb which is to share information in an easily accessible manner.

2. Impacts on the 'spirit of fairness' in forum use for our members/ guests.

3. Clutters the database unnecessarily.

Please create and use one topic for your queries regarding a specific topic / immigration application (e.g. - settlement, PBS, naturalisation). This helps people to get a view of your immigration history, details etc. under one topic and helps them to answer your queries better.

The moderators rely on you to use your judgement on this matter but reserve the right to merge, lock and/or delete multiple postings without notification.

If you persist to create new threads despite a warning, you will be banned and your IP blocked.

Use screenshots of phone call records if you have them. Use screenshots of Email, Text messages. WhatsApp alone on it's own will probably be a weak proof of communication. You can also use proof of visits to Morocco too.
