Confusing financial requirement for spouse visa

Post by Pinchy » Sun Jul 30, 2023 8:37 pm

Hi,

I have a question for the gurus regarding the financial requirement.

Partner and I married last month. Husband is British citizen, I am on a youth mobility visa, so have permission to work.

Husband started employment in January 2023, was earning 45k, was let go after 7 months at the end of July 2023. He is currently looking for employment.

I've been in employment since April 2023. I have a basic of 15k and monthly commission of 570. In my employment contract, it states commission will be topped up to a guaranteed annual income of 22k, until I start making my own commissions.

My partner also has savings of 19k in his account for over 6 months.

Obviously hubby being let go right now has been bad news with regards to applying for the family/spouse visa.

Do we need to wait till he gets another job? Or until I satisfy 6 months employment?

Or can we use category B now? It's just so confusing!

I would really appreciate some insights!

Thanks

Hi,

Please if anyone has any insight?

I don't know if we can use Category B, since it would be a combination of both of us to satisfy each section separately, rather than income of one individual.
