Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement without deposit

Hi Everyone,
I would be grateful if someone can help me. My landlord did not take any deposit from me when i rented current property from him. There is zero deposit on my Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement. Only paid a month advance and doing same now.
I have read somewhere that deposit should be protected within 30 days in a deposit protection scheme and it is legal requirement. Now i am going to apply for spouse visa and will attach this agreement, am i going to be alright? or do i need to make any changes?
is it ok if landlord didn't take any deposit? or this legal requirement only apply when landlord take deposit from a tenant, so he must protect it under deposit protection schemes? But if he didn't take any deposit, this legal requirement do not apply?
Just do not want to be in trouble about visa due to this.

Please if anyone can help me with this, I would be very grateful.

You wont be in any trouble neither will it impact your application negatively. It is actually the landlord who has not protected himself by not taking any deposit.
Protection of deposit comes into play where it is taken from the tenant to ensure they can get it back easily at the end of their tenancy in the property.
