I know very little about our visa and immigration system.

A friend from Zimbabwe has lived and worked in the UK since April. She is sponsored by a healthcare company. That company's right to sponsor people from overseas has just been revoked, and she has been told that she has only 60 days to find another sponsor. Can anyone advise me what her rights are, if she isn't able to find another sponsor within that time.

I would be most grateful for any good advice.

Who told her she has 60 days?

Her manager told her, in the course of a staff meeting. He said that the Home Office says they have 60 days.

The 60 days starts when HO sends the curtailment letter. Not when the employer informs the staff.

Does she realise she cannot do any work at all for anyone until she has a new sponsor and a new visa?
