Good Day,

My husbend applied for Skilled worker dependent 5 weeks back (his switching from skilled worker visa to dependent) and we haven't got any update from Home office. When I am calling for inside UK UKVI services they are not prividing any information. He have an job offer on his hands, can some one please sugest is he work using dependent applicaion number? And how can we know a status of appilication.

No - he is still under the conditions of his Skilled Worker visa until the application is decided -> can only work for his sponsor.

You won't know until it is either approved or refused and your are notified by UKVI.

As already stated, he can only work for his skilled worker visa sponsor until he has his dependent visa approved and receives his BRP card.

The ukvi contact number is a third party agent, not UKVI directly and the call centre doesn't have access to full details about your application.
