Latest date (and application window) for spouse/family FLR (M) application

Post by Sha_94 » Sun Aug 20, 2023 3:51 pm

Hi,

From reading a lot of threads on this site and google I want to confirm if the below is correct (as there is widely varying dates people give).
  • The earliest you can apply for an extension is +30 months minus 28 days from date of entry. So for example you arrived on 1/03/21, then you can first apply 4/08/23. The date that the visa decision was made, or passport collected, or Visa start date does not matter, only the arrive date matters for this.
  • The latest you can apply is 1 day before the expiry of your BRP. In some cases (when applying from abroad) the BRP has an extra 3 months, so this date can be 4 months after the earliest date you can apply.

Am I correct in this?
