How to get a new defined COS after being refused?

Post by MrsChex » Sat Sep 02, 2023 9:41 am

I am an employer who is sponsoring someone to come and work with me as a skilled worker. His initial application was refused due to insufficient English. This has now been passed but they have been asked for a new COS. As the employer I am just checking what i need to do as he only has 7 days to resubmit a new COS. I have gone to Apply for a new COS based on a previous application. Is this the correct process? ANy help would be very much appreciated. Kind regards.

A defined cos indicates an a visa application outside the uk. Unclear what your reference to he only has 7 days to resubmit is??

Oncr he has a new cos, he can apply at any time within the cos validity. Nowhere does it state he has to reapply after a refusal within a certain time frame if outside the uk

The email that he recieved states this :
Please provide a valid CoS or confirm your withdrawal within 10 working days
So I need to get a new COS asap for him. I just wanted to confirm the process of getting the new cos so that there aren’t any further delays xx

This doesnt indicate its a refusal, seems to say there was an issue with the cos. Was the initial cos a defined or undefined cos?

What does the whole email or letter state??
