Nope you don't have to. The form would only ask you what countries you've visited and when.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Does cancellation of residence permit fall under any of these categories?
Image
1. Refused visa
2.Refused Entry at the border
3.Refused permission to stay or remain
4.Refused assylum
5.Deported
6.Removed
7.Required to leave
8. Excluded or bann from entry

Technically, you could pull it up to "Refused permission to stay or remain", but there's no "curtailed" mention on the form.
Was it specifically cancelled or did it just expire? What was the reason?

Do you mean you did not return back to your home country after the expiration date of your permit?
Does it mean you overstayed and hence was required to leave then?

I would say better safe than sorry - if you got a student visa but never went to the country, so it got revoked, just say it. It won't affect your application.

You don't have to mention it. From what you detailed, you let it expire (run out) opting not to continue with it.

That was your call, not imposed on you be the government of the country.
