Lost old passport for ILR application

Post by Coalface20 » Mon Sep 04, 2023 11:21 pm

Hi,

I’m applying for ILR under the spouse route. I originally entered the UK on a student visa in 2015 before switching to spouse, so my entry clearance is on a student visa. The application checklist says to send in all your passports that you’ve used to enter the UK, but I have been unable to find this passport that contains the student visa entry clearance. (It expired in 2017 anyway.) However, I do have all of its pages scanned for a previous visa application.

Will that scan suffice, along with an explanation that the passport has gone missing? It’s getting increasingly likely that it might have been lost somewhere. Is it grounds for outright rejection of the application? What else can I do at this stage? Thanks

Only passports used in the lats 5 years matter. This has been discussed many times
