Thanks you again for the response.

Can I submit as below -

ILR Online application submission : Can I submit before 21/08/2023 ?
ILR Bio metric appointment date : Can I book on or after 21/08/2023 ?
When someone who has being on the 5 or 10 year journey of UK immigration begins to ask if to apply some days early I begin to wonder how they were patient in the previous years.

Only if for the possibility of beating the proposed fee increments that the implementation date is unknown then may try and book it as youniutlined abobe

Ah, the start date 24/09/2018 was an error!

18/09/2023 - 28 days = 21/08/2023.
Hi,

Could you please help to share your thoughts.

ILR Eligibility Date ( 28 days before 5 years ) : 21/08/2023
ILR Online application submission : Can I submit before 21/08/2023 ?
ILR Bio metric appointment date : Can I book on or after 21/08/2023 ?

Thanks,

I agree with zimba’s advice, with a date change from 20/08/2023 to 21/08/2023.

However, I suggest that you include a wider margin for errors, for more safety.

If they refuse under some date technicalities, then you may lose all your application fees, etc.

If they declare your application as “complex”, then they may keep the priority fees and take longer to decide anyway.

Simply apply and book your appointment on or after 20th August 2023
I did not calculate it when I posted the advice above. I simply confirmed that an appointment booked within 28 days should be ok if such a date is 20th August. As the OP shared their visa issue date, the earliest date of eligibility becomes indeed 21 August 2023 and so that is the earliest date the appointment can be booked

Thank you very much for the responses, sure. I shall book biometric appointment on or after 21/08/2023, but my original question is still remains same -

Can I submit my online application ( not the appointment date ) before 21/08/2023 ?

Thanks,

Yes. Again the advice given to you before was that you will benefit from the date of the decision

How to apply early and benefit from the date of the ILR decision ?

ILR application form confusing question

Post by Vamsi515 » Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:19 pm

Hi All,

I am filling SET ( O ) applications along with my family applicants under Tier 2 General route, I am not quite sure on the below questions under respective sections, could any one share your thoughts.

we have started our Tier 2 General journey from 2018 but before 2018, we have stayed in UK with different visa category since 2016, do I need to provide the date my first entry to UK in 2016 or
Tier 2 General entry date in 2018 ?

Under Immigration history section : When did you first enter the UK?

Couple of times we have been on holiday and travelled to EU and my country, does the below absences from the UK relates to the same meaning including holidays or my country visit or does this mean more than 180 days clause ?

Under Personal information section :
Since you first entered the UK, have you had any absences from the UK?

Does the below questions meaning any previous applications home office reference numbers ?
Do you have any Home Office reference numbers?

Could you please help.

Do NOT tag your questions onto other members topics, it is rude to hijack other peoples threads to ask your own questions. Post split and merged with your own topic. Keep ALL questions in one topic, this one.

None of those questions matter. The date you entered the UK can be answered as the first date of entry, it has no relevance to your ILR. You do not need to provide HO reference number

Thank you very Zimba for the clarification.
I have one outstanding question from the application -

The question relates to ALL absences from the UK, regardless of where you traveled to.

Hi Vamsi,

I am in a similar situation as you are and I wanted to check when did you submit your online application and when did you attend your biometrics appointment? Did you get a positive outcome?
