New job offer with application for skilled visa in progress

Hi

I have recently appointed for skilled visa with new employer and have my biometrics 4 weeks back and now awaiting decision. I was assigned with a cos to apply
I also have been given a new offer in meanwhile from a different employer and they want to issue me COS and sponsor my visa..
I want to join this second company as this is better opportunity for me.
I need to understand if new cos can be issued with already in progress application with this second employer or do I need to wait for decision on my current application?

If decision is received in 2 weeks can new cos be assigned without any cancellation of old COS?

I will not join 1st employer as 2nd employer seems better from career perspective.

You need to ask your 1st employer to withdraw their COS as only one valid COS can be issued at anyone time. Your 2nd employer is prevented from issuing a COS by the system.

You might want to consider withdrawing your application to prevent a decision being made.

Hi Thank you for replying.

I have got the decision today from the application that was in progress.
Can the second employer now issue a cos for me as decision is already made on old application? Which can then be used to file for fresh application with them?

The first COS will now be used and out of the system, give it a day and ask the second employer to issue a COS.
