ILR -[Dependant] cohabitation documents

Post by Khedkarsanto » Sun Oct 08, 2023 8:14 pm

Hello everyone,

I submitted my ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) application on October 3rd, both for myself (the Main Applicant) and my wife (the Dependent). Since we moved to the UK, all the bills such as gas, electricity, council tax, water, and internet have been in my name (Main Applicant) until March 2022. Afterward, the bills have both our names on them(Only Counsil). I also have bank statements, which my wife now has starting from April 2023.

I have a single tenancy agreement from 2018 that bears both our names, and it has transitioned into a rolling agreement without further renewals.

As per the rules, I need to provide evidence of continuous residence for a maximum of two years. If I calculate from October 3rd, 2023, back to October 2021, I only have council tax bills from April 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, along with bank statements from this year. I'm wondering what additional documentation I can provide to prove my wife's residency here.

Furthermore, we have a UK-born child in 2020, and we have a couple of GP/NHS letters from 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

I'm uncertain about the best approach in this situation, so I'm seeking advice and assistance here.

Thank you,
Santosh K.

Any evidence in her name can be used. It is not only utility bills etc. Any letters.

You only need cohabitation evidence for the last TWO years, NOT the whole 5 years.

3 to 6 items spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.

I wanted to express my gratitude for your assistance.

In our situation, we have continuous evidence from the Council for every month starting from April 2022 and continuing into April 2023, Same for BANK statement from 2023(April). However, we encounter a gap where we lack documents that can demonstrate consistency over 3-4 months.

We do have various pieces of documentation available, including GP letters, COVID test result letters, NHS correspondence, and a previous BRP delivery letter.

I'm hopeful that by providing these documents, our application will be sufficient.

Once again, thank you for your prompt response and assistance.

Sincerely,
Santosh K.

Consent Form Confusion

Post by Khedkarsanto » Sun Oct 22, 2023 1:18 pm

Hi,
I am in a process to upload the documents and I see two question where I have to upload docs.

1 - Declaration signed by Mr [REMOVED] to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks(Is this the part 1 from the consent form)

2 - Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on Mr [REMOVED] for joint accounts or third party support(Is this the part 3 from the consent form)

Note - I am the main applicant applying for ILR on 5years route(Tier 2 Visa) along with Depenadant

Your help is much appriciated.

Thank You,
Santosh K.

The declaration form is a separate form, signed by the applicant
The consent form is also a separate form with 3 parts, part 1 is signed by the applicant, part 2 by their partner, part 3 ignored

I looked at the forms again, and it seems the declaration is now done digitally before paying.
Those two items you listed actually refer to the same consent form, so parts 1 and 2

Hi Zimba,

I appreciate your taking the time to learn more about it. I was searching for ILR set(o) videos on YouTube, and when you click on that link, you eventually get the same form parts 1, 2, and 3. The declaration takes place digitally within the application itself, with the chosen option, whether it's the applicant or the representative.

Thank You Again Zimba for your quick support and help.
