Citizenship- no home office email

Post by 0M0M » Mon Oct 23, 2023 10:33 am

Hello all,
My wife received her invitation to book ceremony email from local council last Thursday but not the email from Gov with home office number. Is this normal? Can we do something about it?
Thanks in advantage

Quite a common query.
It is normal - there's always a bit of a delay between the two emails - best to wait a bit longer.
But at least you know you have been approved, as the council got your certificate.
Some applicants received the email after their ceremony, sometimes councils will let you attend with just ID.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

Sometimes, that happens. It means the local council are in receipt of the naturalisation cert already. Go ahead and book it as you've been given the opportunity.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
