Tier 1 extension earnings

Hi all,
I was wondering how HSMP renewal is affected for anybody who has lost the job recently. Actually, I got HSMP after MBA and since graduating I have not been able to find any job of reasonable salary because of economic downturn. I was wondering what home office is doing about this. Will they accept my pre MBA salary?
Anybody in similar situation.

When you apply for a renewal (under Tier-1 now) you will need to score the minimum points as stipulated in the guidance notes. HO would consider your salary for any 12 consecutive months falling within a period of 15 months just before your application date.
