Missed to mention name before wedding

The principal applicant for the work permit application failed to provide old names. just provided the name after the wedding (husband's surname). application has been submitted. is there any remedy now?
is it a minor error or considered a major now?

Name on passport will be used, if any conflict with or on other documents, you may be reached to clarify. Other than that if post appointment, all you can do is wait.
