Standard Visitor Visa Financial Support

Post by khan7866 » Mon Nov 20, 2023 9:32 pm

Hi,

My sister back from Pakistan is looking to apply for a UK Visitor Visa mainly to meet my mother as she is suffering from cancer. My sister is a housewife and has savings of about £6000 in her account. A couple of months back UK authorities rejected her visa on the basis that they were not sure about the source of her savings.

I am looking to apply for my sister again and this time I am thinking that I take full responsibility of her funding and don't show any of her financial statements.

As I am doing a respectable job and have a healthy amount of savings with a very good credit rating. Do you guys think that this way of applying will be reasonable??

I will be very thankful if you guys can guide me on this.

Kind regards,

You cannot do that. Well, you can, but you'll be refused.

UKVI authorities are not just wanting to know that person have funds to go to the UK. They are also considering person's financial and other ties.
If a person doesn't show their statements, there's no way to see their financial situation back in their home country. So with you sponsoring their visit and nothing awaiting them back home, what's the reason for them to go back?

You have to show the funds. How did she get this money?

Thanks for your reply. the money is mostly from the rent of her property and some savings from the property she sold in the past.

Did she prove it? Did she show rental agreements, bank transfers from tenants to her (with the reason stating rent or something similar), documents stating property was sold and so on? Did you explain where the money comes from?

If so, the paper trails can be shown. This also goes further to show evidence of ties to home country which in the eyes of CW depicts she has got reason to return home.
Your financial capability is mostly not what comes into play for visit visa, more of thay of the applicant.
