Cancellation of ILR application / refund not received

Hi , I submitted and paid for my IDR application but then realised it was for standard application so had to cancel it via Return of documents form on https://www.gov.uk/cancel-visa

My second application on super priority service has since been successful and BRP received.

However still waiting on refund on first application…
It has been 3 weeks and I did not receive any email to confirm application has been cancelled, i can still see my application active.
I did not book any biometric appt for my first application.

Was anyone in the same circumstances?
How long did it take to receive the refund? Did you get any email to confirm that application is cancelled?

The same link you cited says that it can take up to 28 days after you cancel the application to get a refund, if you are eligible for one After you cancel your application

It also has a link to contact UKVI if you have not received a refund after 28 days.

From my personal experience and others here, the refund usually takes more than that.
