Tier-2 Dependant Extension to Avoid increased IHS fee

Post by nsssvin » Sun Nov 19, 2023 7:58 pm

Hi

My partner has Tier-2 dependant visa valid until Nov 2024. She needs a further 3 months to complete her 5 year continuous residency.
She came to the UK as my dependant in Mar 2020 with leave valid until Oct 2021.
I go my ILR in Jan 2021 , and we applied for her extension in Sept 2021 to get her current visa valid until Nov 2024.

With the increase IHS fee due soon, can I apply for here visa extension now ?
Presume she will get a further 3 years added to her current leave.

I looked at the guidance and it mentions , the dependant can apply any time before the current leave expires - https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... routes.pdf

Does anyone knows how early can you apply?

Thanks

What was the initial visa issued date of her visa in her passport? Her ILR qualifying period starts from visa issue date and not the date of entry to the UK.

Thank you and apologies if my request was rude.

I found the link but they seemed to have changed the form as it now only says "Dependant Partner" rather than "PBS, Start-up, Innovator or Global Talent dependant partner" and now it requires ID check being completed via the app before you proceeding with the application.

So I wanted to check if I got the right form.

Thank you

You still can click on "I do not have a phone that can use the app" and then the form will allow you to book biometrics at a UKVCAS centre.
