COS expedition

I am currently in the UK and need to extend my COS because it is expired.
My Employer has applied for a COS but hasnt heard back from UKVI yet. Anyone aware of COS (undefined) delays? How long should it take to get a COS via the SMS system?

Also, I have submitted to the home office to extend my BRP to which I have requested a extension until I receive my cos allocation.

Due to unexpected emergencies I urgently need to travel back to my home country to complete a few business transactions. Is there anyway I can do so without having my application withdrawn

Do you mean your last visa has expired?? If yes, when did it expire??

Why didnt you and your employer plan better?

If your employer has no cos to assign and had to apply for a new increase in allocation, it can take 18 weeks unless they are successful in getting priority pricessing and are willing to pay if they get through.

Explain what exactly you have applied for? What form have you used. A BRP renewal is NOT the same as a visa extension application.

If you leave the uk with a pending application, it will be considered withdrawn.
