PSW expired and I got appeal form (AIT-1)

Post by devilsden » Fri Dec 19, 2008 8:09 pm

Hi all,

I applied for PSW on 26th sep 2008, but my application has refused due to the maintanence fund as i did not submitted my original bank statements. My visa was also expired on 31th october 2008. I got my passport back on 13th dec. As per the decision letter form home office, i am entitle to appeal against their decision. So i appealed on 15th of dec itseslf. I was wondering whether some one knows about the work during the appeal process even after visa expires??? Actually i got a job very soon after i appled for PSW on 26th sep. Every one knows how tough is to get a job, I dont want to miss this opportunity. I did't inform about my refusal to the company. I just want to know whether I can work leagally as per the UK rules altough the visa has been expired????? or not?????? any replies are much appreciated. It would be great if anyone could reply.

Thanks and Best Regards...........

Sounds like a correct refusal, so why are you appealing?

If you can supply your original bank statement with ending balance of 800 or more issued before 26 Sep (i.e before you dispatched application) then you should have appeal allowed.

Just my thoughts... however do not take them for granted..better consult a lawyer.
