granted a 1-year visa, while Sponsor Notes on CoS specify an intended end date of 4-years

Post by s1989 » Fri Dec 15, 2023 1:41 pm

Hello everyone,

I recently received my Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) along with approval letters from the Home Office. However, I've encountered a puzzling situation regarding the duration of my visa. The approval letters indicate a 1-year visa until October 2024, while the Sponsor Notes on the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) specify an intended end date of November 2027.

I am considering filing for an administrative review to address this apparent oversight. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced a similar situation or has insights into whether the Home Office typically considers such errors. Should I be concerned that the visa was genuinely granted for only 1 year, or is this likely a mistake in processing?

I appreciate any advice or shared experiences that could shed light on how to navigate this situation effectively. Thank you!

You can’t readily change a one year COS to a four year COS using the sponsor note field.
Did you pay for one year or a four year IHS?
