Application for new COS

Post by Lamiolaoniye » Fri Dec 22, 2023 10:27 am

My sponsor’s licence was revoked and the company I do my 20hrs/ week is ready to sponsor me but they require a letter or approval to go on with it. I haven’t received a curtailment letter from the home office. I’m really confused I don’t know what to do. Is there a letter my sponsor can write or do I need to contact the home office myself.pls I need advice.

Not sure what for? They simply need to assign a CoS to you so that you can apply for a new skilled worker visa to change employers.

Presumably you are no longer working for the sponsor whose licence has been revoked?

Yes I have stopped working for my sponsor( a while ago) . My new sponsor is asking me to tell the home office to write that it is okay for me to get a new sponsor. How do I do that?

There is NO requirement for you to do this at all if you still have a valid visa. Your new sponsor seems confused.

Honestly, think about it, anyone on a skilled worker visa looking to change jobs simply applies for jobs and if successful, simply applies for a new visa when a CoS has been assigned. You do NOT need UKVI approval to do this!!

So the UKVI can’t query my new sponsor for giving me a new COS? I will let them know.
