Information on eVisas as all BPRs are now phased out

Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) are now phased out.

The Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) were issued with a maximum expiry date of 31 December 2024. The BRPs are no longer issued (since 31 October 2024) and the replacement BRP service stopped receiving applications.

No BRP card will be issued to immigrants, instead you can access your status digitally via an eVisa.

You will simply prove your immigration status using the eVisa whenever you need to, for example at the border, to a prospective employer, to prove your right to rent, etc. This is possible via your UKVI account.
