Partner got ILR and changing job, skilled worker dependant visa

Post by seyduna2017 » Fri Dec 29, 2023 10:57 am

Dear members,

I have an ILR status and my wife has a PBS dependant visa (Skilled worker dependant) as she is not eligible for ILR yet. When she got her PBS dependant visa, I had a Skilled Worker Visa and we submitted my employment documents from my current company (including CoS details) for her visa application. In July, I got ILR and I can change jobs without restrictions.

I received a good offer from another company and am planning to change job. Do we need to take any action for my wife's PBS dependant visa? As I have ILR status, I do not have any restrictions. However, my wife's dependant visa was granted when I was working for my current company. If I move to another company, will my wife's visa will be affected?

Kind regards

No effect in her visa. She is dependent on you, not your previous sponsor
Char (CR001 not Casa)

So in essence no action need to be taken.
No need to switch her visa again as already your dependent; it appears people do make this mistake wasting money unnecessarily.
