This is my Story.

I was illegal before Home office granted granted my Leave to Remain on 20-08-2021 and it expires on the 19-02-2024.

My questions are .

1. Can I apply for extension before 16 of January? I heard you can only apply not more than 28 days before visa expires . If it’s more than 28days , home will refused it .

2. I want to use super priority to expedite it. Because I want to travel overseas in February.

1) You can if you want to, just be careful not to cause a shortfall in the end (if you keep applying early, you might have to do an extra extension before ILR).

2) You can apply, but you might not necessarily be given a decision in that timeframe - HO might take their usual time according to the service standard (12 months).

Please I want to confirm I’m in the middle of my Flr(fp) first extension . I’ve paid the IHS surcharge fee and the next stage is to pay for application and submit . I’m planning to pay and submit my application on the 26 January.


Here are my Questions:

1. Want to confirm if the IHS increase will still be enforced on the 16th of January

2. If is enforced on 16th , does that mean am exempt because I’ve already paid before 16th of January or I still need to add more money before I can submit my application on the 26th of January

UKVI might ask you to pay the differenc to cover the new fee if you apply after the IHS increase date and they would be within their rights to do so.

It is likely to be effective within 21 days once signed by the minister.
