Student visa ihs charges refund

Post by jaango123 » Sun Jan 14, 2024 2:10 pm

Hi All,

My wife came to UK in a student visa in jan 2021 and paid ihs and visa charges till November 2022. I came as dependent of her in August 2021 and paid ihs and visa charges till November 2022.

Now in April 2022 I switched to skilled visa and she switched as my dependent---> The company sponsored visa and took ihs and visa charges from April 2022 for three years..

So the ihs charges that we paid from April 2022 till November 2022 has to be refunded back to us? How to get this money back.

https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigrati ... on/refunds

Did your Sponsor pay the IHS on your behalf? It could be that they have received your refund

I don’t think the immigration website will show repayments. Probably you are left with going back to your employer?
