Hi,
I am currently on the Tier 2 visa which expires in January 15, 2026 as per the decision letter. My spouse, who is on dependant visa has her visa expiring on December 31,2024 as per the decision letter and BRP. While obtaining the visa we didn't think much about this as we were under the assumption that it was linked with all BRPs being issued only till December 31, 2024 and the EU norms based on the BRP letter, but not sure if that was oversight. Could you please help with these queries:
1. Isn't the end date of the spouse on dependant visa expected to be always the same as that of the main visa holder?
2. How do we correct this clerical error on the side of UK Visa Team? It has been 2.5 years since she has obtained her BRP and arrived in UK.
3. Even the right to work website says it as 31,December 2024. How do we correct this?
4. Tried calling up the UK Visas and Immigration contact centre phone number provided on their site but the person whom we talked (after a very long wait) said it was not the place to answer that query but never said what the alternative point of contact is. Whom do we contact? Is their a mail id / online form? Lack of proper communication channels in UK Visa is frustrating.
Please help.
