Fee waiver

Hello, I submitted my fee waiver 28 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back, my solicitor has followed up numerous times and has been ignored by the HO.

Is anyone else familiar with this type of experience when applying for a fee waiver?

I am applying on a 20yr route and need the fee waiver because I can't afford the fees.

You have to keep pushing the Home Office for a response. The length of time you have waited is not that excessive but not unusual particularly for a fee waiver under the 20 year route. There will be a number of checks being undertaken before they will consider fee waiver and you will normally be contacted when they want more info. If no more info required then the first contact will be to allow fee waiver or not.

From my experience, the HO might have replied and the msg goes into spam mail. It happened to me. They told me to re-apply again after proving to them I didn't receive any response from them.
They wrote the dates I was sent a reply ,I made a print out of my email around that period. Attached it to my New Application. I was given the New Code to use for my application.
