Time after being made redudant by the sponsor

My Colleague is made redundant and already got the last date as Dec 31 2023 from the sponsored employer. However still he did not get any letter from home office even though his address is uptodate with home office.
Should he notify the home office? He is searching for an alternate sponsor now.

Curtailment letters can take many months to get sent out.

Best he find another sponsor to apply for a new Skilled Worker Visa as soon as possible.
