Sponsor Passport lost

My husbands passport expired and we sent off to have it renewed and its been lost - can I use a copy of his expired passort in my application - with his birth certificate.

Also please noe this is for FLR application and I have 30 days but am wanting to catch the application before the fees increse tonight - have done more than 30 months

Yes you can. There's no requirement for him to have a valid passport.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

This is based on the premise that you're the applicant and he's not applying with you. Just sponsoring you.
