Naturalisation Application Query

Hello,

I applied for my Naturalisation application after completing ILR period of 1 Year in September. I received no confirmation from Home Office however I received an email from my Council to book my British Citizenship ceremony.

I am glad but slightly confused as what's going to happen next.

Was I not supposed to receive a confirmation from HO to say go ahead and book your appointment with Council or has process been changed now?

Will I ever receive a confirmation from HO or is it now understood applications is approved ?

Your application has been approved and you should receive an email from the HO. Usually (but not always) these emails are sent on a Monday, so watch your inbox and if in a week on Monday you haven't received it try following up with the HO. You can book the ceremony, but you will be asked to show your approval email when you attend.
