Hello Team,

What is the proof of the British Citizenship of a spouse? Should it be a passport? naturalisation certificate? or would the email from the Home Office be sufficient?

I am asking to determine the soonest possible my time for my wife to apply for citizenship as we have an urgent family matter. I have received a confirmation from FNE, but didn't receive ceremony invitation, or Atlas email, and I want to confirm when can she apply the soonest.

Passport is a travel document, certificate of naturalisation is the proof of BC.

Yes, because until then you wouldn't be a British citizen. Make sure you make a copy of the naturalisation certificate for wife to apply as you will need to send the original to obtain your passport.
