Is this 5 years Spouse Visa Route for ILR?

Post by dhamphiir » Thu Jul 27, 2023 9:46 am

My partner had Spouse Visa extended in late November 2021 and she got email from Gov.uk saying that
“Your application under the Partner (FLR M) route of the Immigration Rules has been successful.
You have been granted permission to stay in the UK until 12 Jun 2024”

Is it 5 years Spouse Visa route for ILR?

Thank you

Yes. To apply for ILR you need to use form SET(M)

Thank you very much.

I have some question regarding when to apply for ILR. My wife came to UK on 25th March 2019.

1. Can we apply for her ILR after 26th March 2024 as it will be consecutive 5 years stay since arrival in the UK?

2. Do we need to apply ILR within 28 days of expiry of the visa?

She can apply for ilr no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date she entered the UK in a spouse visa.

The latest she can apply is the date her visa expires.

1. Can we apply for her ILR after 26th March 2024 as it will be consecutive 5 years stay since arrival in the UK? She is qualified to apply from 25th February 2024 I.e. 28days before completing 60months/5years in UK

2. Do we need to apply ILR within 28 days of expiry of the visa? No, read above reply to 1.

Thank you CR001 and AmazonianX.

Can I download Utility (Gas and Electricity) and Mobile phone bill from their official website and print it myself and used it for correspondence address?

If above question is yes then, is black and white printed accepted or it has to be only coloured printed?

All evidence is now submitted digitally. No need to print anything. Just upload them as they are

Enquiry about ILR

Post by dhamphiir » Tue Feb 20, 2024 12:42 pm

Although I have already posted similar post about it, I simply want to make sure that we apply visa during the qualifying time and that visa are approved.

My partner’s Spouse Visa was approved from 25/02/2019.
She arrived in the UK on 25/03/2019.

We are planning to apply SET (M) visa during first week of March 2024, as it will be within 28 days before she complete her 5 year stay in the UK.

Is the apply date and form [SET (M)] above correct?

I have applied for my wife Spouse Visa in 2019 and again applied for FLR (M) in 2021.
I am serving in Armed Force since 2019 and heard there is another form for ILR.

Can I apply for my wife’s ILR visa in SET(AF) or SET(M)?

The SET(AF) says if you are a former member of the armed forces, been or being discharged or their dependant.

Other Document
3. Sponsor’s Passport
4. Applicant’s National Identity Card
5. Applicant’s Biometric Card
6. Accommodation Letter as it is rented
7. Both Bank Statements last 6 months
8. Both Payslip last 6 months
9. Both Employment/Job Letter
10. Both P60
11. Life in the UK
12. B1 English Test
13. Marriage Certificate
14. Correspondence/Cohabitation Letters
Bank Statement from Both - Nov / Dec 2021
Joint Utility Bill - March 2022
Joint Utility Bill - July 2022
Bank Statement from Both - September 2022
Bank Statement from Both - December 2022
Mobile Phone Bill from Both - March 2023
Bank Statement from Both - June 2023
Mobile Phone Bill from Both - September 2023

I have got few questions about ILR.
1. Do either Sponsor or Applicant needs to write cover letter to Home Office?
2. Is there any document that we need to sign beside declaration by sponsor?
3. Do we need to submit our photo?
4. Are we missing any document?

Thank you

What you have up there appears alright. Confirm which form you are using.

1. Not mandatory to write any letter of no need.
2. Consent forms
3. No, this will be taken during biometrics appointment

Thank you so much AmazonianX for replying.

We used SET(M) form to apply for my wife’s ILR.

We have only applied online yesterday but we have not book either biometric appointment or uploaded any document in UKVACAS website yet.

Where can I find consent form? I didn’t see any consent form when we applied online and even in UKVACAS website.

Is this consent form that we need to sign?
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... onsent.pdf

If yes, is it Part 1 is signed by my wife and part 2 and part 3 is signed by me?

My wife have submitted her online ILR form on 11 March 2024 and she has Biometric appointment on 8th April 2024. We have not uploaded any document online as we choose additional service: Document Scanning for Biometric appointment.

I have few questions regarding uploading documents and dates.
1. We have not signed consent form document yet. Can we sign on today’s date? Or it has to be before 11 March 2024.
2. I have written cover letter for my wife’s ILR application. Can I write current date on cover letter or it has to be before 11 March 2024.
3. Do we need to give another payslip and bank statement of March months? We both have payslip and bank statements until February.

Thank you
