Biometrics timeline

Hi,

My wife applied for FLRM extension on 5th Feb. Online portal says that we need to complete biometrics by 8th April. I read somewhere that it needs to be done in 45 days. Is that correct? Our plan is to do it as close to the deadline as we want to switch applications (FLRM to ILR). Just want to be sure.
