Visa extension

Post by Nq » Sun Jun 05, 2005 12:04 pm

Hi there,

I came in London six months ago and I am still looking for a job. I am in the Public Relations and Marketing industry and, unfortunately, it seems to be really difficult to break into the market... I had several temping jobs, but nothing permanent.
My unmarried partner is construction engineer and he is already employed. His visa is Accompany partner so he gave me points on my application.
Would it be difficult for us to extend our visas and do you think my partner could apply for HSMP visa instead of me this time? Because I do worry about my unemployment here... Or if I am the main applicant again would it be difficult to extend our visas if I was actively looking for work for so long time?
Thank you in advance!

Hi there,
I dont think so there should be any such problem with your visa extension. Have a bank balance of abt £2k and send your application.
But if you also do some type of work, may not be in your field, it will be good. Also attach all your interview letters or jobs where you applied.
Getting extension is not a big issue.

Thank you very much for the responses!
I will certainly try to find another job, some kind of temporary work.
Are there any rejections for extension at all?

there have been no rejection until now. But just dont use the public fund at all. Now list your priorities very well on a paper, as you are sure to get extension for another 3 years. If you wanna do a course or a college or may be change your line, do so now, dont wait for extension, as you are sure of getting it 101%.
