Changing to Spouse Visa (Family Visa) from Graduate Visa

Post by aribakhanbrown » Fri Apr 12, 2024 12:33 pm

Hello,

I am currently on a Graduate Visa set to expire in July and currently on the process of applying for my spouse visa.
I just have some general queries regarding the application form.

The application form asks:
Is your current entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner of one of the following?
1. a British citizen
2. a person settled in the UK
3. a person with refugee leave or a person with humanitarian protection in the UK
4. a person with pre-settled status under the EUSS in the UK
5. a person who has leave as a Turkish ECAA worker or business person in the UK
person who has permission as a stateless person in the UK

As I am on a graduate visa, my visa type does not fall into any of the above categories. Would it be okay if I select 'No'?

Also, my husband and I lived together, in a rented accommodation, from Sept 2022 until Jan 2024 however as I left my job, we moved in with his mother for the moment. I understand that the home office asks for 6 corresponding docs and I am only able to provide the following (just wanted to check if the docs are okay)
1. Rent agreement (in our joint name)
2. Water bills (in my name)
3. Electric bills (in my husband's name)
4. Bank statement (sole accounts, with the same address on it)
5. Council Tax bill (my name)
6. My husband's P60 from tax year 22/23 & his payslips.

P.S- the utility docs, council tax bill, P60/payslip and rent agreement are from our previous address. The bank statement is from the current address we are in (my mother in law's house).

Any help with this application will be helpful as we are applying them ourselves!
Thank you :P  :D

I understand that the home office asks for 6 corresponding docs and I am only able to provide the following (just wanted to check if the docs are okay) Those are requirements for folks already on spouse visa and need to renew it. What you provide would be evidence of a sustainable relationship akin to marriage.
1. Rent agreement (in our joint name)
2. Water bills (in my name)
3. Electric bills (in my husband's name)
4. Bank statement (sole accounts, with the same address on it)

Thank you :P  :D
