Enquiry about Naturalisation

Post by dhamphiir » Mon Apr 08, 2024 11:17 pm

Background:
I am British Citizen since 2016. I applied for Spouse visa for my wife. She got her ILR visa today in 5 years route.

I have few question regarding Naturalisation.
1. Can my wife apply for Naturalisation now or she has to wait 12 months?
2. Can she use the B1 English test that she used in previous visa i.e. Spouse Visa extension and ILR?
3. Can Referee be member of Armed Forces as professional person?

Thank you

1. Can my wife apply for Naturalisation now or she has to wait 12 months? As she is married to BC, can marry immediately.
2. Can she use the B1 English test that she used in previous visa i.e. Spouse Visa extension and ILR? Yes, she can reuse it.
3. Can Referee be member of Armed Forces as professional person? Yes

Thank you

Did you mean she can apply immediately?

Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

I have clicked “Yes” and enter the detail of previous visa and I am not sure if this is correct reference number for the following visa. I found this reference number after payment confirmation email.
1. Spouse Visa - GWFXXXXXXXXX
2. FLR (M) - UKVI_1AB234567890
3. ILR - UKVI_1AB234567890

This information is "if known" - you can use the reference numbers and other data you have got. It's not an issue.

further to your answer I have a question
"Ref. # and dates only if known" but Do we have to tell about previous applications even without Ref/Dates?

Cn you stick to your own topic where you are already getting responses?

I have few question regarding Referee Declaration Form

1. Is this correct Referee Declaration form for ‘Naturalisation?
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... on_MN1.pdf

2. If the answer is yes to above question then can I use it for two Referee?

3. When I looked it into Nationality Form Guide about Referee and photo.
All I can see that the applicant needs to write their name and date of birth in the back of their passport size photo and glue it on the Referee Declaration form.
Referee needs to write their name, current date and sign on the last part of the form.

Is the above step correct or Referee needs to countersign on the applicant’s passport photo?

One form for one referee, i.e. two forms needed.
3. When I looked it into Nationality Form Guide about Referee and photo.

Nothing needs to be written on the photos, you scan and upload the completed forms.
