additional duty by employer

I am on skilled worker visa working as a software developer. I am about to be assigned additional duty to perform internal audits for company. I have asked my HR that does it need to be reported to HO. HR said it is an additional duty so it does not need to be reported to HO as my job title is still software developer. My main duties are software development and audit will be as additional.

I know it is an employer responsibility to report if any. I just want to know does it need to be reported or not ?
