New lower salary threshold at the time of visa extension

Post by sarrial » Thu Jun 27, 2024 7:29 pm

Hi

We have a skilled worker (Graphic Designer) in our company who is being paid £22,400 per annum. Her 3 year visa is valid until January 2025.

As per Skilled worker going rate, lower going rate for graphic designer is £35,800 for occupation code 2142. As it is also in immigration salary list, she can be offered 80% of going rate i.e. £28,640.

The employer is unlikely to raise her salary from £22,400 to £28,640. Any advice would be appreciated.

Wouldn't skilled worker on this rout before 4th April 2024 stay on old salary at the time of extension? or do they need to meet new lower on-going rate?
