Great news, everyone — I just received my certificate and couldn’t resist giving the postman a big hug! I attended the June 20th ceremony, and although I was following the discussions here with no hope of receiving anything soon, and since I already have another EU passport, I wasn’t in a hurry to get my certificate anyway. But here we are!

Did it come with AnPost? Did the postman require your signature?

Oh boy, I have been anxiously awaiting any news of people getting their certs from June. Now I am even more anxious!! Congrats to you btw.

I have a friend who attended Killarney ceremony June 11 who hasn't got the cert yet (nearing 8 weeks now). I myself was on June 21 in Dublin. Fingers crossed!!!

I live in Northern Ireland, and it was delivered by Royal Mail. Yes, a signature was required.

All, I know some of you have written to your TDs. Main TD for my area is Simon Harris himself! Do you just reach out via the email specified on the oireachtas page?

In a weird situation that I want to raise with a TD. I am awaiting my cert, which is ok for me if it takes a bit longer even if not ideal. My wife is on Stamp 1G expiring in September. We applied to have her IRP renewed, and included my citizenship letter and ceremony invitation email as proof of my citizenship approval, but they have asked to upload spouse IRP (since her stamp is dependent on mine). Per Justice Minister's comment, I don't have to renew my IRP but they won't renew my wife's without mine. I suppose I could ask them to grant a Stamp 4 for her since I am a citizen now but even for that they will ask at least for the naturalisation certificate, won't they? It's such a bizarre limbo state to be in. My wife has work travel coming up in September but now it looks like her status renewal is being impeded by the delay in me getting my naturalisation certificate. Any advise anyone?

Damn it!

I am about to travel abroad and will not be at home for 10 days.

Does anyone know what to do if the cert has been returned to the sender due to not delivered successfully?

Yes, phone Simon Harris' office and explain that you want to know what to do and request that they ask the Minister of Justice for a detailed response. You should get an email address so that you can send full details. If they are not keen to help you go to other TDs until you find one that is helpful - and maybe you will vote for his / her party as a result.

Thank you for the reply. Thankfully I don't need to as I got the certificate just now!! Exactly 6 weeks to the day! Postman needed signature. There's no photo on the cert so I am guessing/hoping that's how it is these days.

What makes you say this? We have applicants living in many counties, from all ceremonies receive theirs.

Has anyone living in Kildare (Naas/Newbridge/Maynooth) received their certificate?

Hi just in case anyone gets suddenly more anxious about the recent good news: please notice that previously the certificates did not arrive in one day or two.

In the Feb thread[1] the earliest report of receipt was 9th May and the last 14th May (posted on 15th saying "received last night").

Again congratulations to all who have received already their certs and I wish a timely delivery of the certs plus some inner peace while waiting to those who have not yet (me included).

Congrats all,

I also attended the ceremony on the 20th June and received the certificate yesterday.

I only had the certificate for like two hours before I sent it back out to them for the passport application.

Make sure you all apply for the passport asap.
