I have pre-settled status and will soon be able to apply for settled status.
Last week I received a FPN fine of £100 + 3 points for going 36 on a 30 mph road.
I am anxious now about my application and wonder if I should disclose this? The website says that FPN shouldn’t be disclosed (and they specify a speeding fine as example), but at the same time any unspent conviction should be disclosed.
I think penalty points (“endorsements”) are unspent for five years so clearly I’m a long way from having them being “spent”, so which is it? Should I declare the points but not the fine?
I’ve read online that only endorsements given by court stay on criminal records but also saw somewhere else that any endorsements given for speeding should be considered as given by court regardless!
I’m so very confused as what should be disclosed or not?
Can someone help explain this to me please?
Thank you
