EVisa Problems

Post by zafran1 » Wed Oct 02, 2024 7:39 am

I have not received an e-visa email invite yet but website welcomes people to apply hence trying. BRP is valid until 31/12/2024 but am travelling out on 29 and frequently after that. When trying the ukvi system at identification stage using the app i get an error - "You are using the wrong type of document" - using EUSS BRP. Unsure if system hasn't been operationalized yet or something else is wrong.

I wouldn't make plans for travel outside the UK for the first few months of 2025, if they could be avoided.

Even if the launch of the E-visa system goes smoothly (which it may not), there will almost certainly need teething issues. It would be wiser to avoid travel outside the UK if you're a non British national.

With EUSS you should already have a digital status - do you already generate share codes? I would however avoid travelling until there is more clarity on the new system.

No EVisa email.

Post by melvinf » Tue Oct 22, 2024 10:48 am

Hello,

My Wife and 2 children ( all on non-EU passports with settled status ) have not yet received any email with regards to e-visa. We logged into the ukvi portal and cannot view any e-visa. Do we need to contact the Home office or just wait for the e-visa invitation email. My family should be coming back to the UK early February.

Appreciate any assistance here.

Thanks
M

Hello,

I can generate share codes for my wife and 2 kids . Does this mean that the evisa is active ? But i noticed that even though 2 of the accounts are updated with the latest passport details. it does not accept that as requisite for login , it still take the old BRP details ( for login). so what happens on 1st Jan 2025.

Thanks
M
